Name: Julie Cooper. Role: Vol­un­teer at The Rossendale Trust. Bio: I have danced for years, mainly bal­let and love to be cre­ative. Cook­ing is a real pas­sion of mine. I am a keen gar­dener, en­joy­ing be­ing out­doors. I also love an­i­mals. What in­spired you to start do­ing this?: I had some free time and I love Arts and Crafts, so I thought of the Rossendale Trust’s Oak­wood Ac­tiv­ity Ser­vice… I wanted to meet new peo­ple and do some­thing worth­while! There’s a won­der­ful at­mos­phere that en­cour­ages every­one to be cre­ative. What do you en­joy most about do­ing this?: We are al­ways gig­gling, and I get to help peo­ple achieve their cre­ative goals... great way to spend the day! What is your great­est achieve­ment?: Be­ing a pub­lished writer – from his­tor­i­cal ar­ti­cles to short sto­ries that range from chil­dren’s sto­ries to hor­ror. Any plans for the fu­ture?: I want go to Ja­pan. Where is your favourite place in Mac­cles­field?: Sut­ton, I love all the beau­ti­ful hills. Ideally how would you spend ev­ery day?: Do­ing some­thing dif­fer­ent ev­ery day… I eas­ily get bored. What was the best hol­i­day you have been on?: Italy, The Amalfi Coast with my friends… great mem­o­ries! If money were no ob­ject what would you do?: I would still vol­un­teer at the Rossendale Trust as it gives me so much plea­sure and love the peo­ple. I would also travel and visit the world! Cooper.
