Macclesfield Express - - SCHOOLS NEWS -

PRIMARY school students were on their best behaviour when they welcomed not one, but two, mayors to their school.

Evie Eddie and Luke Lewis, who are both in year six at Bollinbrook Church of England Primary, have written about the visit.

They said: “We are the year six school councillors and are appreciative to have met two mayors in two days.

“On Monday, March 20, we had our yearly ‘Musical Extravaganza’ and we were very lucky to have the Mayor of Cheshire East – Councillor Olivia Hunter – to experience our once in a lifetime ‘Musical Extravaganza’ and at the end, showed her gratitude to our school.

To our pleasure, after meeting the mayor of Cheshire East the day before, we were extremely grateful to of met the mayor of Macclesfield, Coun Alift HarewoodJones, the very next day. She answered the school council’s questions, thoroughly and knowledgeably. She had an assembly where she spoke about her job as a mayor and her personal life and all the school got to wear the golden artefact of beauty, the well representative chain. We would like to thank both the mayors and their consorts for visiting our school. Bollinbrook CE Primary School are extremely contented with their attendance. Thank you once more.”
