Countryfile’s Adam is a hit at care home
A TV farming expert shared stories of his countryside life during a visit to a care home.
Adam Henson, who is a presenter on Countryfile, met with residents and guests at Prestbury House Care Home, Macclesfield.
He was invited to Prestbury House to discuss how he had transitioned from a life on the land to one in the media and his efforts to conserve rare breeds of farm animals as co-owner of Cotswold Farm Park, a legacy left to him by his father who was also a farmer.
Adam gave residents and guests a glimpse into his life as he shared his stories and anecdotes on being a part of the hugely popular Sunday evening show which is often filmed from the farm park.
He also stayed to sign books for the residents and guests, who were thrilled to hear about his ventures.
Michelle Walton, leisure and wellness co-ordinator at the home, said: “One of our residents, Muriel, has been a big fan of Adam’s for a long time and was very excited when she heard he was visiting the home.
“When I asked Adam if he could have a picture taken with Muriel, she was completely overwhelmed with joy – he’s made her a very happy lady.”
