THOUSANDS of people including Macclesfield families descended on Arley Hall in Cheshire for the Geronimo family festival.

The event, which featured a host of CBeebies stars including Justin Fletcher and Andy Day, is now in its third year with this year’s festival the biggest yet.

The three-day extravaganza aimed at children aged between two and 12 was split into 10 zones - 3ft And Under, Adrenaline, Circus, Pasture, Funky Junk, Library, Curio-City, Arena, Geronostage and Theatre.

The new Curio-City featured weird and wonderful attractions including the cool Camera Obscura, while Spinney Hollow had activities for children of all ages.

Huge crowds went to see TV’s Justine Fletcher, aka Mr Tumble, who entertained children with classic hits and nursery rhymes.

Other big hits were the jousting knights, inflatable assault course, donkey rides and Cirque de Hilarious.

Among the stalls was Bollington forager James Wood who was promoting his Totally Wild UK venture.

Jenna Bostock and her family had a great time. She said: “It’s a fantastic day out. Cannot wait for next year, although will be booking a weekend ticket next time as there is so much to see and do.”

Jemma Galley agreed: “We went last year at Tatton and this year too! It’s always fab!

Susie Delaney said: “We loved it so much included for your money and no long queues.

“We will try the camping next year.”
