Adult com­edy is lat­est from Play­ers thes­pi­ans

AMA­TEUR dramatics so­ci­ety the Chelford Play­ers are pre­par­ing to take the stage for their next pro­duc­tion.

Mem­bers will per­form adult com­edy Ladies Day by Amanda Whit­ting­ton, which fol­lows four friends’ day out at Ladies’ Day at Royal As­cot the year it moved to York.

Chrissy Stan­nard, Grace Fletcher, Nick Mun­day, Lisa Bes­sant and Bev Ib­bot­son from the group will per­form in the show.

There will be a week­end of per­for­mances at Chelford Vil­lage Hall.

Ge­orge Mar­call, from the group, said: “It will be good fun and we hope peo­ple will come along to sup­port the show.”

Chelford Play­ers is a small group based at the Vil­lage Hall in Chelford which has been per­form­ing plays for nearly 50 years.

Mem­bers put on at least two per­for­mances a year, usu­ally a pan­tomime and a play.

The group is al­ways on the look­out for new mem­bers of all ages, act­ing or back­stage, front of house, as well as scenery, wardrobe, light­ing and sound.

Ladies Day by Amanda Whit­ting­ton is at Chelford Vil­lage Hall on June 8, 9 and 10, at 7.30pm.
