Fun day and building fun, with parents invited too
CHILDREN at Bright Horizons Tytherington Day Nursery and Preschool in Macclesfield have been busy picking up new skills and showing friends and family what they do at nursery.
The children identified different shaped items and were taught how to nail them to wood, using a child-friendly set of hammer and nails as part of a project to hone their fine motor skills, before welcoming friends and family to a fun day.
Nursery manager Lorraine Roberts said: “The children sat and talked about safety with (the health and safety coordinator Candy Floss) supporting them. They were aware of how to protect their little fingers and had a great time enjoying the responsibility in this activity.”
She added: “We were delighted so many of the children’s families came out to take part in the fun day and hope they all enjoyed their day.”
Parents, family members and friends joined the youngsters at a local park where they all took part in a range of activities.
The children enjoyed playing on the swings, climbing and rolling down the grassy banks, as well as making large bubbles and chasing them to pop.
