Aerobathon raises cash in memory of baby Ted

Macclesfield Express - - SCHOOLS NEWS -

PRIMARY School students have raised a fantastic £500 in memory of a very special little boy.

Ted French, whose parents Dee and Gareth live in Macclesfield, sadly died when he was just five months old.

He was born with a genetic disorder called mitochondrial disease which causes cells to have no energy and means tissues or organs can’t work properly.

Children at Puss Bank Primary School, where Ted’s grandma works, took part in an aerobathon to raise money for the Lily Foundation, which funds research into the disease.

And after counting up the total, they donated £500 to the charity.

Julie Sutcliffe, from the school, said: “After a very successful aerobathon, Friends of Puss Bank Committee, on behalf of Puss Bank School donated £500 to the Lily Foundation.”

A Magnificent Mileathon, organised in memory of Ted in May, raised £2,000 for the charity.
