TODDLERS waddled around a park in a sponsored walk to raise money for a children’s charity.

Around 40 youngsters signed up for The Big Toddle in South Park, Macclesfield, organised by mum Lauren Roberts in aid of Barnardo’s.

Children started and finished the 1k walk at Skamps nursery and were excited to be joined by Anna and Olaf from Disney’s Frozen. The event raised around £1,200 for Barnardo’s.

Lauren said: “I’m a mum who wanted to organise an event for the local toddlers and raise some money for a great charity.

“There was an amazing turnout on the day and all the toddlers had an amazing time.

“The children received certificates and medals for their efforts.

“A huge thank you to Skamps nursery for letting us start and end the walk at their nursery, and Diamonds and Toads children’s entertainers for dressing as Anna and Olaf and leading the walk.

“I also want to thank Nicola Marie for donating her amazing skills for face painting, a big thank you to Tunnicliffes for donating the big bright banner and to M J Roberts painter and decorator for buying the medals.”
