Masters success for language teacher
A FALLIBROOME teacher has earned a distinction in her Masters in Education degree while teaching full time at the school.
Claire Smith, who is head of German, completed a final research project – which involved her Year 7 French class and the primary feeder schools, investigating the transition in languages between local schools.
The qualification was presented at a ceremony at Edge Hill university, which Claire attended with her daughter Lauren who is in Year 7 at Fallibroome.
Claire’s husband Nick said: “Claire hopes that her work will inspire other colleagues to conduct research as it is fascinating, rewarding and can lead to improvements in aspects of the teaching profession.”
