Pork and beer feast is thanks to brewery tie-up
A BREWERY has teamed up with a butchery business to host an event.
RedWillow brewery is a Macclesfield success story, after being started in 2010 by Toby and Caroline McKenzie and going from strength to strength.
They sell a range of bottled and canned ales made at the brewery on Byrons Lane and run a pub nearby in Macclesfield town centre on Park Green. Now the brewery has teamed up with a butchers firm to host a celebration of beer and food.
They are working in collaboration with Stockport-based Littlewoods Butchers for the event at the brewery on Sunday, August 6.
This afternoon-long event will feature a live butchery demonstration and guests will then be treated to five different dishes showcasing both the traditional and more unusual cuts of pork. They will all be paired with beer served by the brewers, directly from the tank they were brewed in.
Brewery owner, Toby McKenzie said: “We want to bring an exciting and enjoyable event to the brewery to demonstrate our passion of sharing great flavour and tastes with our customers.
“It will be a festivity of pork and beer.
“We hope this will be the first of many food pairing events we host at the brewery and invite anyone who loves food and drink to come along and enjoy an afternoon with us.”
Marcus Wilson, owner of Littlewoods Butchers in Heaton Chapel, Stockport said: “It’s exciting to team up with local companies such as RedWillow who share the same philosophy we do when it comes to food and drink- consistently great quality and flavour.
“We are excited to show customers where the cuts actually come from with the live butchery demonstration, and to witness them enjoy the finished products that have been cooked into delicious plates of food.”
The event is on Sunday, August 6, with tickets on sale now at redwillowmacclesfield. eventbrite.com.
Standard ticket includes the five pork dishes and five beers to accompany.
