Big party as couple mark 21 years at pub
THE LANDLORDS at the Stanley Arms in Macclesfield Forest have marked 21 years behind the bar with a party.
Adrian Taylor and his wife Carolyn marked their 21st anniversary at the pub and hotel with a party for more than 70 guests – most of them loyal customers.
The evening featured a buffet, champagne and a presentation of cards and flowers to the husbandand-wife team.
Adrian said: “The event couldn’t have gone any better. It was great to see old and new faces celebrating with us on our 21st anniversary at the pub.
“We can’t imagine not having the Stanley Arms in our life. It’s in the perfect location, and there’s always a friendly atmosphere around the place with both the locals and visitors.
“We’d like to thank everyone who attended, and also the Stanley Arms staff. It’ll be a day we’ll never forget.”
The pub is in an idyllic setting overlooking the Peak District National Park.
Dave Lewtas, operations manager at NewRiver which owns the pub, said: “They’ve done a tremendous job at the Stanley Arms. The number of loyal customers that keep going back there speaks volumes.”
