THE next cohort of students heading to high school in September got to meet their peers and teachers before entering the classroom.

All Hallows Catholic College organised for 140 students to join them on a three-day trip to Liverpool Hope University, where they were encouraged to get to know their new classmates and teachers.

The students participated in a range of sports and team building activities, attended a lecture, a graduation wearing a cap and gown and attended morning and evening prayers to learn about the holistic approach to learning promoted at All Hallows.

Miss Elliot, a year seven form tutor, said: “The students had a great time – from the very popular cooked breakfasts to inter-form sports competitions, the students didn’t stop smiling for three days.”

The trip also gave the students a chance to build a relationship with their Year Learning Leader Mr Aspinall, who will be with them from years seven to 11. Mr Aspinall said: “I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of the students and I am positive they will make a great start in September. I am looking forward to going through their journey with them.”

Mr Aspinall said the students behaved impeccably throughout the trip and lived up to the college’s core values at of respect, co-operation, honourable purpose, compassion and stewardship.
