Macclesfield Express - - CHARITY ROUND-UP -

A COMMUNITY support scheme has opened to give charities, voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations the chance to win grants of £500.

Equilibrium Asset Management has run the scheme since 2015 and awarded almost £10,000 to community groups.

The scheme supports organisations which help disadvantaged people, promote sport and the arts, support education and development and benefit the environment Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Knutsford.

The winner in round one of the 2017 scheme, which ran between January and April, was Macclesfield Seals Disabled Swimming Club, founded in 1957 for children and adults with disabilities.

Colin Lawson, founder and partner of Equilibrium Asset Management, said: “We consider ourselves very fortunate to be in a position to run a Community Support Scheme that offers funding which many organisations need to continue the excellent work that they do.”
