THE fi­nal race meet­ing of the 2017 Natska (Na­tional schools kart­ing as­so­ci­a­tion) cham­pi­onships, round 12 ‘The Natska na­tional Sprints’ which is a two day race meet­ing held at Llandow kart cir­cuit down in South Wales at the be­gin­ning of July,

AMS Kart Club had five driv­ers en­tered com­pet­ing against 11 other kart clubs from around Eng­land and around 120 driv­ers,

Joseph Loake from All Hal­lows Catholic Col­lege in his Class 11 Honda GX160 on the first day he suf­fered a tech­ni­cal is­sue a seized en­gine and af­ter swap­ping en­gines and some im­pres­sive rac­ing Joseph fin­ished the race meet­ing third over­all.

That meant he went on to win the 2017 Natska Class 11 Championship, which in its 5 year his­tory had been pre­vi­ously won by two other AMS Driv­ers Jor­dan Brown in 2014 and Ciara Power in 2015,

Jor­dan Brown for­mally an All Hal­lows pupil, in his class 15 high power Ju­nior Ro­tax drove a fault­less week­end tak­ing the Class 15 2017 Natska championship down to the last race.

Jor­dan fin­ished the week­end’s race meet­ing first over­all, win­ning the 2017 Natska Na­tional sprints and se­cur­ing the 2017 Natska Class 15 Na­tional Championship.

Ciara Power from Fal­li­b­roome Academy in her Class 7 TKM kart drove a fan­tas­tic race week­end to fin­ish 12th over­all from a grid of 30 karts in the Class 7 2017 Natska Na­tional Sprints and se­cur­ing 7th place in the Class 7 2017 Natska Na­tional Cham­pi­onships, a strong drive all year.

Tom Rayer also from Fal­li­b­roome Academy in his Class 11 Honda GX160 drove an ever im­prov­ing race week­end and be­ing only his third race meet­ing in Class 11
