Boyfriend smashed win­dow

AN an­gry boyfriend shouted threats at his preg­nant part­ner and broke a win­dow dur­ing a drunken row.

Ben­jamin Robert Simp­son, 25, of Great King Street, Mac­cles­field, be­came an­gry when his part­ner locked him out of the house when he had been out drink­ing.

He banged on the door shout­ing threats, and neigh­bours called the po­lice, Stock­port Mag­is­trates heard. He was re­moved by po­lice but later re­turned and po­lice were called again. He broke a bed­room win­dow and dam­aged a door.

Simp­son ad­mit­ted crim­i­nal dam­age and us­ing threat­en­ing be­hav­iour on July 23.

De­fend­ing, Lisa Mor­ton said: “He made ad­mis­sions to ev­ery­thing at in­ter­view and said he hadn’t in­tended to break the win­dow. He ac­cepts he was an­gry and drunk and has ex­pressed re­morse.”

He will be sen­tenced on Au­gust 16 at Stock­port Mag­is­trates and must not con­tact the vic­tim.
