Unit patients put artwork on display
PATIENTS at Lime Walk House in Macclesfield have shared their work with friends and family as part of the unit’s ‘Recovery Festival’.
The mental health unit, run by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP), hosted its third annual festival to allow service users to display and auction their artwork as part of fundraising for the trust’s charity.
The event also featured live music, a barbecue, cake sale, raffle and carnival games.
More than 50 people joined service users and staff at Lime Walk House, which offers assessment, rehabilitation and therapies for mental health patients from across Cheshire.
Lime Walk House Unit Manager Nargus Yasin said: “Events like today are fantastic because they bring staff, service users, friends and family together. I’d like to thank our service users for putting on a great event and friends and family who have come to find out more about the work we do.”
The festival raised £540 for The Christie, East Cheshire Hospice and Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Visit cwp.nhs.uk to find out more about mental health services.
