Pair jump to it for charity
TWO supporters of the Rossendale Trust jumped out of a plane to raise money for the charity.
Kelly Bailey and Mark Shelley hoped parachuting might inspire people to sponsor them to help the charity which supports people with learning disabilities.
They raised more than £1,500.
Mark said: “Particularly as Kelly is scared of heights, we thought hurling ourselves out of an plane above the Cheshire plains at 10,000ft and hurtling to the ground at 125mph might inspire a donation.
“It was a pleasure to do the jump for the Rossendale Trust, what an experience. It was lovely meeting the care support workers and the fantastic trust tenants.”
Sue Heaven, head of PR and fundraising at the Rossendale Trust, said: “This is a great effort by Mark and Kelly.
“Their funds will make a real difference to the people we support.”
