Three tasty teas take award accolades
A TEA company has won an accolade for its products.
Cheshire Tea, based on Park Street, Macclesfield, is among the winners at the Great Taste Awards 2017.
Out of more than 12,300 products tested by a team of experts, the firm was awarded a 1-star Great Taste Award for its Cheshire Breakfast, Cream Earl Grey and Peppermint pyramid teabags.
Phil Paton, who set up the company in 2014, said he is thrilled with the accolade. He said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed with the judges’ feedback from this year’s Great Taste Awards and we are so pleased to have won the awards for the third year in a row since we launched in 2014.
“It really proves our tea has the approval from the industry experts. He added: “Since winning the awards it has really helped open doors and we have seen an increase in sales year on year.”
To celebrate the accolade, Phil is giving away a free pack of tea to Express readers at the next Treacle Market, on Sunday, August 27.
The Great Taste Awards, held each year, are widely considered as a benchmark for fine food and drink.
