Hall raises £82,000 for NSPCC

HO­TEL staff are cel­e­brat­ing af­ter do­ing their bit to raise £82,000 for a chil­dren’s char­ity.

Mot­tram Hall has spent the past year rais­ing money for the NSPCC af­ter QHo­tels, which runs the venue, formed an of­fi­cial part­ner­ship with the char­ity.

Mot­tram Hall em­ploy­ees have em­braced fundrais­ing by tak­ing part in a num­ber of chal­lenges through­out the year in­clud­ing the Great Manch­ester Run, and cus­tomers were given the op­tion to make a £1 op­tion to the char­ity when book­ing.

Deirdre Billing, gen­eral man­ager at Mot­tram Hall, in Mot­tram St An­drew, said: “It’s been a real priv­i­lege to sup­port the NSPCC over the past year and we have been blown away by the ef­forts and com­mit­ment that has gone into the im­pres­sive fundrais­ing sched­ule, re­sult­ing in us sur­pass­ing our am­bi­tious fundrais­ing tar­get by al­most £10,000.

“Go­ing into our se­cond year of part­ner­ship, we’re de­ter­mined to keep break­ing tar­gets to raise money for this in­cred­i­bly im­por­tant cause with a range of cre­ative ac­tiv­i­ties and events for our guests.”

Mot­tram Hall in­cludes a golf course, spa, pool, fit­ness suite, con­fer­ence cen­tre and wed­ding fa­cil­i­ties.
