Roy­alty crowned at sum­mer fair

ASH Grove Academy com­bined the grand open­ing of their new build­ing with the an­nual Rose Queen and sum­mer fair cel­e­bra­tion.

The lord Lieu­tenant of Cheshire was given the hon­our of cut­ting the rib­bon and of­fi­cially open­ing the build­ing, which will en­able pro­vi­sion for two-yearolds from Septem­ber.

He also crowned the new Rose King and Queen, and made a speech.

Af­ter the open­ing, the Moss Rose brass band played and the sum­mer fair got un­der­way with stalls, in­flat­a­bles and a raf­fle with amaz­ing prices – in­clud­ing a Manch­ester United foot­ball signed by the team.

A spokesper­son for the academy said: “The whole day was an amaz­ing suc­cess en­joyed by staff, par­ents and the com­mu­nity.”
