THE stage was well and truly set for the perfect wedding for award-winning theatre directors

William Whelton and Joseph Houston, from Wincle, were able to use their own Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester to host their wedding reception.

They married at the city’s town hall, before celebrat- ing with friends and family with a secret gardenthemed reception inside their theatre.

They said hosting their wedding at their theatre was a dream come true.

Joe, 27, said: “As it is our venue there was no limits to what we could do and in true theatrical style we completely turned our theatre space in to a secret garden, with trailing ivy in the roofs, a canopy of flowers above the string quartet and the whole floor space covered in grass - it really was everything we imagined and more.

Will, 28, said: “To then be able to celebrate with all of our friends and family around us at Hope Mill Theatre just was the most special thing.”
