Heaton Mersey were soon 61-6 when Ahmed had Shah caught by Gilding for a well made 28, and Prestbury pushed home their advantage when Kirkland grabbed the wicket of Ingham (7), again caught by Gilding.
When Singh came back into the attack he got the wicket of Saifullah (9), Kirkland accounted for Ford (8) and it looked all over at 84-9 with eight overs to get the last wicket.
However, Hughes and Laverty stuck around and had Heaton Mersey on the brink of drawing the match when Laverty was bowled first ball of the last over of the game, meaning Heaton Mersey were all out for 92.
Kirkland finshed with 3-14, Singh 3-17 ,Ahmed 2-17 and Ryder 2-25.
Man of the match was Cameron Kirkland. Prestbury remain in second spot and play Ashley at home next Saturday.
