Heaton Mersey were soon 61-6 when Ahmed had Shah caught by Gild­ing for a well made 28, and Prest­bury pushed home their ad­van­tage when Kirk­land grabbed the wicket of Ing­ham (7), again caught by Gild­ing.

When Singh came back into the at­tack he got the wicket of Sai­ful­lah (9), Kirk­land ac­counted for Ford (8) and it looked all over at 84-9 with eight overs to get the last wicket.

How­ever, Hughes and Laverty stuck around and had Heaton Mersey on the brink of draw­ing the match when Laverty was bowled first ball of the last over of the game, mean­ing Heaton Mersey were all out for 92.

Kirk­land fin­shed with 3-14, Singh 3-17 ,Ahmed 2-17 and Ryder 2-25.

Man of the match was Cameron Kirk­land. Prest­bury re­main in sec­ond spot and play Ash­ley at home next Satur­day.
