Choir tunes up for the new sea­son

RE­HEARSALS for the Ori­ana Choir’s 88th sea­son have be­gun.

The first con­cert takes place at Mac­cles­field Methodist Church on Satur­day, Novem­ber 25 and will have a flavour of Ad­vent and Christ­mas, in­clud­ing a per­for­mance of Vi­valdi’s fa­mous ‘Glo­ria’

The sec­ond con­cert of the sea­son will take place on Satur­day, March 10, which will be con­duc­tor Keith Years­ley’s 85th Birth­day Con­cert.

The mu­sic on the night will in­clude some of Keith’s favourite through­out his 60 years at the choir.

Ex-Ori­anas are in­vited to join this cel­e­bra­tion.

Re­hearsals for the choir are still held in the Sal­va­tion Army, Roe Street, ev­ery Fri­day start­ing at 8pm.

New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come in ev­ery sec­tion with the nec­es­sary voice and com­mit­ment, al­though the abil­ity to read mu­sic is not a re­quire­ment.
