Deborah takes helm at Parklands
A CARE home has appointed a new manager.
Deborah Wilson has taken the helm at Parklands in Poynton, which is run by the Minster Care Group.
She has worked in the health and social care sector for 22 years, beginning her career as a trainee care assistant before working her way up to qualify as a registered manager.
During the ten years she has been a manager, Deborah specialised in residential, dementia and end of life care.
Deborah also has experience in providing care services for people with learning disabilities and mental health issues.
She said: “Parklands is a wonderful home and I’m excited to be joining such a caring team of people. In my role as home manager, I look forward to building on the home’s excellent reputation for person-centred care and strengthening our links in the local area to ensure our residents are part of an integrated community.”
Sheila Wood-Townend, regional manager at Minster Care Group, added: “Her strong track record of leading care services for older people makes her ideally placed to lead the team at Parklands.”
