Wear it pink for charity
RESIDENTS are urged to wear pink as part of a nationwide fundraiser in aid of breast cancer research.
The Wear It Pink 2017 event takes place on Friday, October 20, and participants are encouraged to wear pink and make a donation to the cause.
Macclesfield MP David Rutley has joined the campaign. He said: “Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. One in eight women will face it in their lifetime, and every year over 11,000 women and 80 men lose their lives to the disease.
“I would encourage Macclesfield residents, businesses and schools to take part in the important Wear It Pink initiative on Friday 20 October. It’s an easy and fun way for people to come together to support those affected by breast cancer and support vital research.”
