TWO long-standing care home employees have been honoured for their combined 45 years of service.

Nicky Bernard, has been head chef at the Prestbury Beaumont care home for 25 years, while Faye Ainsworth has been working as a hostess at the home for 20 years.

Nicky joined the company in 1992 and has been cooking up meals for the residents ever since.

Faye joined in 1997 as a hostess and is said to have an excellent rapport with all the residents.

The pair were presented with a card and flowers in hour of their working anniversary.

They were praised by senior management for their dedication to the home, with directors saying the pair’s service ensures the happiness of residents.

Sarah Lydon, general manager of Prestbury Beaumont, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 45 years of loyal service with Nicky and Faye.

“They have both demonstrated dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year. I speak for all of us here at Prestbury Beaumont when I say that I’m looking forward to many more years of working with Nicky and Faye.”
