School is nom­i­nated for two top na­tional awards

ASCHOOL has been nom­i­nated for two pres­ti­gious awards for in­no­va­tion and ex­cel­lence in its out-reach and ex­tra-cur­ric­u­lar pro­grammes.

Beech Hall School has been shortlisted for the awards by the In­de­pen­dent Schools’ Awards.

The first is for the school’s wide range of ex­tra-cur­ric­u­lar ac­tiv­i­ties,, which in­clude: a Drone Club, a Ukulele Club, a Dragon Com­mit­tee and a Chicken Com­mit­tee - who look af­ter the school’s pets.

The school has also been recog­nised for its part­ner­ships with nearby schools, sport­ing and char­ity groups.

The school was par­tic­u­larly com­mended for its col­lab­o­ra­tion with Park Lane school, a spe­cial­ist school for com­mu­ni­ca­tion and in­ter­ac­tion. The schools share fa­cil­i­ties.

Beech Hall head­mas­ter James Allen said: “To be considered for these awards is an hon­our.

“En­gage­ment and part­ner­ships with the lo­cal com­mu­nity are es­sen­tial as Beech Hall shares its re­sources and fa­cil­i­ties, en­abling oth­ers to take ad­van­tage of all that is on of­fer.”
