Durrell, scorer of Macc’s second goal, was delighted with his goal.
“There was a bit of a sighter in the first-half where I think the centrehalf’s got his head on it, because otherwise I think that was going in the same place as well,” he told the club’s official website.
“It doesn’t matter how they come - Left foot, right foot, header.
“If they go in off my backside then I’ll take them, but the most important thing is the three points and it’s vital we got those three points today, because it’s a tough place to come at any point in the season.”
The 28-year old joined Macclesfield on a twoyear deal in the summer after leaving Chester FC and spoke about how he has settled in: “I’ve been made to feel welcome straight away. I haven’t enjoyed my football like this in a long time.
“Obviously it comes with winning games, but listen, we’ve got a great set of lads, we’ve got great staff working in the background and I believe, as well as the rest of the squad, that we can achieve something special this year.”
Macclesfield are now placed second in the National League table, just one point behind league leaders Dover.
