Students shoot to victory on sports tour
TALENTED pupils have shone during a recent sports tour whitewashing their opponents.
Children from Beech Hall School came out on top in three events during a tournament in the capital.
The annual event saw 16 pupils take part, and competed in a number of events against Riverston School.
The Macclesfield school secured a grand slam of results, beating their opponent 8-1 in netball, a 5-0 in football and a nerve-racking 2-1 victory in volleyball.
As part of the event, pupils also took part in an Apprentice-style task, when seven mixed teams had to create a slogan and jingle.
The teams then to construct a piece of improvised drama.
James Allen, headteacher of Beech Hall School, said: “The sports tour was a fantastic trip full of sport, respect and friendship. Thank you to Riverston School for hosting such a wonderful event and congratulations to all sportsmen and women for their winning victories.
“I am incredibly proud of how our pupils conducted themselves on this trip, they represented the school impeccably as always.”
