Arthur desperate to make up for lost time
KOBY Arthur plans on putting a frustrating year behind him and showing just what he is capable of after signing a new deal at Macclesfield Town.
The winger had to settle for limited appearances in the Silkmen side last season, spending a lot of the campaign on the fringes and sat on the bench.
While that may have been the case, he has signed a new deal at the club on an initial one-year contract, meaning he will be playing in the Football League this season.
Arthur is looking forward to testing himself in a new division, and he wants to have a much bigger role in the side this season and show everybody what he can do .
“Obviously personally last season wasn’t what I expected. When you don’t play you can get frustrated but that is football and we go again for the new season.
“I just want to work hard again and I am looking forward to it,” he told the club’s official website.
“It feels good to be staying. We had a really good season last year and it is great to be back playing league football again. I’ve played in League Two before. That is where I want to play and I am ready to work hard.
“I am keeping myself fit and looking forward to the challenge next season. I’m just happy to play football.”
Arthur wasn’t the only player to sign a new deal this week, as Tyrone Marsh has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
