Club is on cue to reopen

A SPORTS club has reopened with a new outdoor and sociallydistanced drinking area.

Silktown Snooker has created pods in the car park outside its premises on Green Street as licensed premises get used to the ‘new normal’.

The pods, which can be reserved and have table service, were available when the club reopened on Saturday.

Owner Sammie Whalley said: “We wanted to create a way to do that that’s both safe and sociable.

“We’ve been making huge changes this last year to modernise the interior of the club, and we’ve worked day and night to get this outdoor space ready in time for our customers.”
