KNIFEMAN IN CASH RAID AT SALON

A hair salon worker was robbed at knifepoint in Droylsden. The 43-year-old woman was working in the hairdressers, on Market Street, when a man walked into the shop and claimed someone was chasing him. When she asked him to leave, the man produced a knife and held it to her neck. He demanded she opened the safe and he stuffed cash down his trousers, before fleeing from the scene towards Chapel Street. Greater Manchester Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident at around 4.45pm on Saturday, March 25. The man is described as white, aged 43 to 48 years old and about 5ft 10in tall.
