Children’s coach caught up in crash
A MINIBUS carrying children was caught up in a crash between two cars.
Witnesses to the incident on the A6144 Carrington Lane in Trafford said the youngsters were evacuated from the vehicle and were standing in a lay-by following the head-on collision.
Police officers, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene at around 2pm on Saturday.
One man had to be cut from a car and a total of four casualties were taken to hospital.
A witness said the cars involved were a Peugeot and an Audi.
It is understood none of the children were injured.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said they received a call at 2.07pm and sent two fire engines and two technical rescue units.
He said two vehicles had crashed, with one man trapped in a car.
Three others got out of the cars themselves.
All four casualties were taken to Salford Royal hospital.
