Young girl injured in late-night road crash
A CHILD was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Friday night.
The young girl was injured when she was caught up in a collision with a Honda Civic on Ladybridge Road, in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, just before 10pm.
Her injuries are not believed to be lifethreatening.
One eyewitness described seeing the girl lying in the middle of the road waiting for an ambulance while police directed traffic away from the scene.
They said: “I think she was a teenager. She looked like she had injuries to her leg but I can’t be sure.” Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to the scene at 9.50pm following reports of a collision between a car and a child.
“The child was taken to hospital for treatment,” a spokesman for the force said.
“Her injuries are unknown at this stage but are not believed to be life-threatening.”
