Hanson in festive show
NINETIES child pop sensations Hanson are back and they’re coming to Manchester to perform a Christmas show.
The brothers, who shot to fame in 1992 with infectiously catchy hit single MMMBop, celebrated their 25th anniversary this year and are about to embark on a string of sold-out concerts across Europe, Australia and Latin America. Now they’ve announced their only UK show so far - and it’s a Christmas-themed special at Manchester’s O2 Ritz.
The Finally It’s Christmas concert on December 10 will see Isaac, Taylor and Zac play songs from their new Christmas album of the same name, due out on October 27.
The record features rocked-up renditions of classics like Elvis Presley’s Blue Christmas, Aretha Franklin’s Winter Wonderland, Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas and reimagined arrangement of Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmas Time, as well as original songs.
The show will feature songs from their first festive release, Snowed In, which came out in 1997 and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, September 21 at 10am from
