Stereo­phon­ics re­turn

STEREO­PHON­ICS are hit­ting the road again for a ma­jor arena tour next year, in­clud­ing a date in Manch­ester.

The Welsh four-piece, fronted by Kelly Jones, pic­tured, will play at Manch­ester Arena on Fri­day, March 9 next year, dur­ing a run of 12 shows up and down the UK.

It’s 20 years since the band re­leased their de­but Word Gets Around, which pro­pelled them into the post-Brit­pop charts. Two decades on and nine stu­dio al­bums later they’re still go­ing strong, with their lat­est, Keep The Vil­lage Alive, soar­ing straight to the top of the charts in 2015 - earn­ing them their sixth num­ber one al­bum.

The up­com­ing tour will pro­mote new al­bum Scream Above the Sounds, which is due out on Oc­to­ber 27 and fea­tures re­cent sin­gles All In One Night and Caught By The Wind. Tick­ets go on sale at 9am on Fri­day, Septem­ber 22, from See Tick­ets, Tick­et­mas­ter and the of­fi­cial Stereo­phon­ics web­site.
