Knife raid ter­ror at sand­wich shop

ARMED men threat­ened cus­tomers and staff dur­ing a rob­bery at a sand­wich shop.

Two raiders armed with a knife forced a shop worker to hand over cash at the Sub­way in Tim­per­ley, Traf­ford, on Thurs­day evening.

No one has been ar­rested and no de­scrip­tion of the sus­pects has been re­leased.

A GMP spokes­woman said: “We were called just af­ter 9pm to re­ports of a rob­bery at a sand­wich shop on Manch­ester Road.

“One of the of­fend­ers told a mem­ber of staff to open a safe and the pair threat­ened cus­tomers.

“They were armed with a knife.

“They made off with money from the safe. They then left on foot.”
