Fes­ti­val will put some Fizz into the week­end

SPARKLING WINE CORKS TO FLY AT ALTRINCHAM FOR FES­TI­VAL’S THIRD YEAR

PROSECCO, cham­pagne and cava fans re­joice Altrincham’s Fizz Fes­ti­val will re­turn at the week­end with more sparkling wines than ever to sam­ple.

Now in its third year, the Fizz Fes­ti­val will re­turn to Altrincham Town Hall over the week­end of Novem­ber 18 and 19.

Ticket price in­cludes a FREE tast­ing of ALL wines with or­gan­is­ers promis­ing more than 80 will be avail­able this year.

You can ex­pect cava, prosecco and cham­pagne on the menu, with wine­mak­ers from across the globe in­volved.

There will also be a food pop-up in the up­stairs area, hosted by Herb and Spice who will have an ar­ray of ‘fizz-friendly’ food op­tions.

Tick­ets, start­ing from £15, have al­ready sold out for the Sat­ur­day 4pm to 7pm slot, but there is still avail­ablil­ity for the noon to 3pm slot on Sat­ur­day, and for two ses­sions on the Sun­day, 12noon to 3pm, and the 4pm to 6pm ses­sion which in­cludes en­trance to the Fizz Awards.

Ticket price in­cludes a free tast­ing of all wines with no need to buy drinks to­kens at the Mar­ket Street venue.

Ex­hibitors this year will in­clud­ing Sky­fall, a “nat­u­rally blue” gran reserva pre­mium sparkling wine from Spain, wines from Brazil show­cas­ing their range of fizz pro­duc­ers, and English wine pro­duc­ers Hush Heath and Fox.

Or­gan­iser Janet Har­ri­son, of Crack­ing Wine, says: “This is a fan­tas­tic op­por­tu­nity to meet the peo­ple who grow and pro­duce the wines. There are also huge dis­counts avail­able should you like to buy a few bot­tles for Christ­mas with a Or­gan­iser Janet Har­ri­son de­liv­ery ser­vice too, so you can leave your car at home.”

Three awards will be an­nounced at the Fizz Awards at the fi­nale of the fes­ti­val on Sun­day evening Best Cham­pagne, Best Sparkling Wine UK and Best Spark­ing Wine Rest of the World.
