Man faces charge over shop burglary
A MAN has been charged after a burglary at a convenience store.
Reece Mead, 20, of College Bank Way, Rochdale, was arrested on Tuesday, March 6, and has now been charged with a single count of burglary, a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.
He’s due to appear at Burnley Crown Court on April 6.
Police said investigations were continuing. Officers were called at 4.19am on February 27 to reports of a break-in at the Premier Mini-Mart store on Burnley Road East in Waterfoot, Rossendale.
It’s believed three offenders forced entry into the shop, the force said.
A static cash machine was taken off a wall and removed from the store and a large amount of cigarettes and alcohol was also reported missing.
Pc Rick Whalley, of Burnley Police, issued an appeal for witnesses.
He said: “Our investigation into the burglary is ongoing and we’d appeal to anyone with information to please come forward.”
