REALITY TV star Ferne McCann celebrated International Women’s Day in Manchester with 100 Stagecoach bus employees who she has been helping to get fit.
Fresh from learning to drive a bus with Stagecoach in a bid to encourage more female bus drivers last year, Ferne was back in Manchester to see how employees got on with an eightweek fitness and wellbeing course she devised with her personal trainer Ellie Hopley.
The former TOWIE star – who is mum to four-month-old baby daughter Sunday – is looking in fine form herself after following the Driving Fitness Together plan.
She said: “It’s great to see the women all pulling together and motivating each other. It has been so much fun, everyone has been sharing their stories, it’s so touching, no goal is too small or too big.
“One of the women had never been swimming before, and one had taken up meditation, and another lady could fit into a pair of trousers and that was her incentive.
“Obviously the final day being on International Women’s Day was a great day to celebrate.”
Ferne said that after having her baby daughter, fitness has been a way of getting ‘me time’ rather than losing weight for her. She said: “For me, keeping active was important to me since having the baby, but I was in no rush or hurry to get into shape, so this was the perfect thing to do.”
Ferne was filming her new reality TV show with ITVBe in Manchester as well which will return for a new series after the success of her Ferne McCann: First Time Mum documentary for the channel last year.
Doting mum Ferne says: “Four months doesn’t seem like a long time, but I feel like she’s been here forever.
“She’s my best friend. We spend all our time together and she brings me so much joy and happiness.”
