Biker breaks ankles in crash
A MOTORBIKE rider suffered two broken ankles and a broken wrist in a collision with a car.
The man, aged in his 20s, was left in hospital for several days and is now recovering from his injuries at home. Police have issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashboard camera footage to come forward.
The collision happened on Hale Road in Altrincham, Trafford, shortly before 8.55pm on July 6.
The man’s black Lexmoto bike was in collision with a silver Chevrolet Cruze at the junction with Park Road. The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to hospital for treatment. She suffered minor injuries.
Police said no arrests have been made and enquiries were ongoing.
Pc Peter Hamnett-Steen said: “The motorbike rider was left in hospital for a number of days and our thoughts remain with him as he recovers from this incident. Hale Road was closed for over three hours while investigative work was carried out but we want to appeal to any witnesses to get in touch.”
