Jsky turns heads at charity event
SINGER ‘COULDN’T BE HAPPIER’ WITH FUNDRAISER
MANCHESTER fashionista Jsky never disappoints when it comes to serving up some bold looks on the red carpet – and there was a long line of head-turning fashions at his latest fundraising event.
Jsky, real name Jason Warner, welcomed Love Island, Strictly Come Dancing, Big Brother and Ex On The Beach personalities to his MTV Staying Alive Foundation charity fundraiser 2018 downstairs at Impossible on Peter Street, Manchester.
The Bury singer, who was rocking an edgy sheer black bodysuit with a bumbag, bondage belt and chunky boots, was joined by his glam friend Laura-Alicia Summers from the MTV reality show Ex On The Beach, who wowed in a silver halterneck top and mini skirt.
Jsky, who won the hearts of almost two million viewers on the hit Channel Four show First Dates in 2015, was heaped with compliments after sharing his latest flamboyant look on Instagram.
“Where did you get your chest brace from?? I need that!” cried one fan. “You could have made an effort,” joked another. Katie Salmon, who made waves after arriving as a latecomer on the sun-soaked ITV2 dating show Love Island in 2016, also made an eye-popping style statement in a vinyl effect yellow mini skirt and matching jacket with black ankle boots and a baker boy cap. Known for her everchanging looks, brunette Katie has now gone ash blonde for autumn with a wig from Hair Arvina in Hale – and fans have given her latest image change the thumbs-up. Other guests included former Coronation Street star and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Georgia May Foote, who played Katy Armstrong in the soap.
Wearing a green floral patterned blouse, the Bury actress showed off her chic new bobbed hairstyle.
Big Brother’s Sam Chaloner and Sam Giffen, The Bi Life star Daisy Thilwind, former Playboy model Sarah Longbottom and Kerry Katona’s ex husband George Kay also enjoyed the fundraiser for the Staying Alive Foundation, which works to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS.
Guests enjoyed musical performances by Jsky, DJ Georgie K, Mei Mei, Lady Ice, Tmar, Kris Evans and Tyreeeezy.
Guest speakers from MTV Staying Alive Foundation and Kiehl’s skincare spoke about the campaign and guests took part in a charity raffle.
Last year’s debut raised more than £450, but this time more than £700 was raised on the night.
“It really is incredible to host an event like this in front of such a unique audience in Manchester,” said Jsky.
“The funds raised tonight will help in HIV and AIDS prevention initiatives. I couldn’t have been happier with the event. Manchester really came together and the talent was out of this world.”
