An event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Raymond Briggs’ heart-warming picture book The Snowman will be taking place around MediaCityUK at Salford Quays.

Walking with The Snowman will feature 12 giant sculptures themed around the song The Twelve Days of Christmas.

And each sculpture is being designed and decorated by one of 12 talented artists, all of whom painted a bee for the Bee in the City trail, which proved popular over the summer.

Many of the artists will be painting in shop at the Lowry Outlet until November 16, where people can see them at work.
