TRANS­PORT bosses have ad­vised the trav­el­ling pub­lic to plan ahead as Greater Manch­ester marks Ar­mistice Day to­mor­row.

Metrolink ser­vices will stop shortly be­fore 11am as the na­tion ob­serves a two-minute si­lence.

Trans­port for Greater Manch­ester said there would also be a num­ber of mi­nor changes to tram ser­vices for the Re­mem­brance Sun­day ser­vice at St Peter’s Square in Manch­ester city cen­tre.

A spe­cial ad­vice page has been pro­duced on the web­site, as well as a walk­ing route map to help peo­ple get around.

Vil­lages and towns across the re­gion will also be hold­ing their own pa­rades and ser­vices, which may re­sult in lo­calised road clo­sures and bus di­ver­sions.

Then, later to­mor­row, Manch­ester City host Manch­ester United at the Eti­had Sta­dium, with a 4pm kick-off.

A crowd of 55,000 is ex­pected
