TEN-MAN Rochdale rescued a dramatic injury-time point against Wigan, who remain in the relegation zone following a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Stephen Humphrys had rifled the hosts into the lead but Kyle Joseph equalised two minutes later before Callum Lang’s turn and finish had Latics ahead.

Rochdale’s task was made harder when Jim McNulty was sent off moments before the break after a tussle with Joseph.

Despite being a player down, a brave Jake Beesley header drew them level only for Will Keane to seemingly win it for the visitors, but Humphrys struck again deep into added time to earn a share of the spoils.

Jerry Yates hit a late equaliser as Blackpool drew at 10-man Hull to prevent the Tigers from moving to within a point of the Sky Bet League One summit.

Gillingham captain Kyle Dempsey scored the only goal of the game as his side won at Accrington, while Liverpool loanee Liam Millar made the difference as Charlton ran out 1-0 winners at Bristol Rovers.

Carlisle retained top spot in Sky Bet League Two despite not playing on Saturday, as wins proved elusive for their closest challengers.

Salford, Newport, Cambridge, and Forest Green all had an opportunity to climb above the Cumbrians, but each emerged from the day’s action with only a single point.

The Exiles were unable to snap their winless run as a goalless draw with fellow promotion contenders Salford at Rodney Parade extended it to five matches.

Their efforts were hampered by a straight red card for Josh Sheehan after 58 minutes.

In the day’s remaining fixture, Davis Keillor-Dunn scored 15 minutes from the end for Oldham to cancel out Zak Jules’ opener at Walsall.

Barrow were the big winners at the foot of the table, picking up a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Scunthorpe.

Josh Kay’s 58th-minute goal gave the home side the lead, before Scunthorpe’s Junior Brown was sent off late on for a second bookable offence.

Barrow’s celebrations did not last long, however, with winger Luke James stretchered off in a neck brace after a horrendous clash of heads.
