Market eyes future with monthly Sunday plan

A POPULAR Manchester market is hoping to continue providing a ‘vital and vibrant space’ for traders and customers at the heart of its community after a difficult year.

Levenshulme Market organisers are now planning to add a monthly Sunday market – on top of its weekly Saturday and monthly Friday openings.

Paul Bower, projects director at Levenshulme Market, said: “The possibility of a monthly Sunday market is us planning for the future.

“We feel that we continue to provide a vital and vibrant space for traders to sell their quality goods and support the growth of the local economy.”

If the market is able to reopen in March as planned, it is likely social distancing measures will remain in place.
