Ole won’t rule out more players leaving club

-

OLE Gunnar Solskjaer admits there could be further departures from United in the January transfer window.

Dutch defender Timothy FosuMensah left the club on a permanent deal earlier this week, while youngster Di’Shon Bernard extended his loan-spell with Salford City on Friday afternoon.

Argentine duo Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo are both available for transfer while the likes of Jesse Lingard, Nathan

Bishop and Brandon Williams could both seal loan moves if an appropriate offer comes in.

United are also open to more temporary departures at youth level with Dylan Levitt and Matej Kovar targeting deals in the Football League. Ethan Laird joined MK Dons last week.

Solskjaer’s first-team squad has been boosted by the arrival of Amad Diallo in the January transfer window but the United manager isn’t ruling out any further departures.

“You can’t really say no because, in football, things just crop up,” Solskjaer told club media, when asked if anyone would be leaving later this month.

“There are opportunities that we can’t really say no to and, if it’s the best for the club and the player, then it’s something we’ll look at.

“At the moment I can’t update you on any of them.

“I don’t really know where any negotiations are [up to].”
