CCM fire up a new Spitfire that puts the design in your hands

• Fancy paint? Private livery? It's all up for grabs

CCM have started production on their new Spitfire Six, a 300-unit naked promising more personalisation than any model to come before it.

Each machine from the Bolton-based operation will be individually numbered, with buyers able to select from varying trim levels, colours, suspension and performance upgrades to truly make it their own.

Starting at £9995 and producing 55bhp as standard, the bike makes use of the same 600cc singlecylinder engine and tig-welded trellis frame found on all current Spitfires, however the subframe has been altered to mirror that of the Spitfire Bobber – sitting lower and slimmer to appeal to a wider range of rider sizes.

Outside of this, would-be owners then have the opportunity to make their bike unique. Starting with the tank, customers can choose between four standard colours ranging from £450 to £750, with bespoke liveries also available. Moving backwards, the seat is interchangeable for five quilted and alcantara options in multiple colour schemes, with smatterings of carbon fibre available as replacement chain guards, engine covers and more.

Meanwhile, Öhlins suspension upgrades are available to complement the striking chassis. A fork kit is an additional £3500, while a rear shock with remote adjuster will set you back a further £899. Alternatively, a full race pack is yours for a wallet-emptying £4950. To unlock some extra noise, there’s a £2000 twin titanium Austin Racing exhaust system and for a little added go, CCM will sell you a £399 stage one remap.

If the personal touch isn’t your thing, two pre-customised Stealth kits are also available for either £1200 or £1500, depending on your spec choice. Revealed at Motorcycle Live 2019, both kits offer an understated blend of hand-painted ‘bronze chrome’ colours and gloss black and fine details such as a carbon fibre headlight cowl and rear mudguard.

At present, the Six is only available to buy in the UK, however CCM say they are formulating plans to bring the series to Europe in 2021, alongside “a number of exciting new models currently on the drawing board.”
