Sand speed record falls

Speed freak Zef Eisenberg, who 18 months ago survived a 230mph crash on his turbine-powered land speed racer, attempted to break the sand record at the Pendine Sands Speed trials last weekend. The Guernseybased muscle-supplement millionaire took his supercharged MadMax 350bhp Suzuki Hayabusa to a verified 201.5mph, claiming the crown for the fastest top speed ever recorded by a motorcycle on sand.
