‘The spinal re­search lot are giv­ing peo­ple hope’

Guy Martin has be­come a Pa­tron of the UK char­ity Spinal Re­search and is of­fer­ing peo­ple tak­ing part in his ‘Big Brew’ fundrais­ing event the chance to meet him in per­son.

“I was very hon­oured to be asked to be a Pa­tron of Spinal Re­search,” said Guy. “If it helps raise aware­ness and finds a cure for paral­y­sis then let’s have it. I’m not sure what a pa­tron is but I’m told it will help, so spot on. The Spinal Re­search lot are work­ing hard to re­search and give hope to peo­ple with spinal cord dam­age and paral­y­sis. Please sup­port them if you can.” Guy has sup­ported the char­ity with his Big Brew event since 2011, be­com­ing in­ter­ested in the char­ity af­ter his crash in the 2010 TT where he suf­fered frac­tures to his up­per spine. Every­one that or­gan­ises a Guy Martin Big Brew will be en­tered into a draw to meet Guy later this year. You can be part of Guy Martin’s Big Brew sim­ply by or­gan­is­ing a ride­out and rais­ing a bit of cash. The money raised will fund re­search into treat­ments.
